Who I Am
Hi! My name is Pond-e and I am a D&I professional in the making.
I have been working in the criminal justice system for the past 3 years and have been exposed to countless systematic inequities; inequities I have made a point to challenge and help others overcome. Empowering marginalized individuals and fostering inclusion efforts is central to who I am and what I do in my line of work. In addition to combating systematic inequalities, I use my data and analysis to meet business objectives, while implementing initiatives to diversify the pipeline.
When I first heard about D&I, I was surprised as to how much of the work I was already doing, just with a different title. That is when I realized that almost every role has a D&I component; it's just up to the individual whether or not they decide to foster it. What started as a curiosity has transformed itself into a full-blown passion and I constantly find myself analyzing every role I take on with a D&I lens.
As someone venturing towards a career change, I am fully aware of how difficult it can be to enter a new industry. Join me as I learn, make mistakes, and tackle challenges in my journey to becoming a D&I Professional.
